I have had terrible luck with this plant in the past—or, more like it: this plant had back luck with me! I threw away a dormant pot of it once, only realizing what I had done weeks later. And deer and voles have taken at least a couple of these. Indian pink (Spigelia marilandica) bloomed in the spring, but just now has decided it wasn't quite finished. I'm not sure what's up with the chartreuse leaves, but the brightness is welcome in the shade of my woodland garden.
