A Stroll Around San Francisco

The Bay Bridge from the Waterfront

I just got back from the Garden Bloggers Fling in San Francisco which was an incredible experience! The gardens, the food, the people—all so memorable. Just before the Fling started, +Janet QueenofSeaford and I took a walk around and took a few pictures.

It expanded my horizons to see so many plants I'd never seen before, though I have to admit, it was kind of being in a room with so many strangers! :) Anyone know what this is? UPDATE 7/05/13: It's Sweet Pea Shrub, Polygala dalmaisiana. Thank you to +Angie Sollecito  for the ID.

Afternoon concert at Yerba Buena Park. Janet and I enjoyed Jasmine Tea Lemonade with our delicious lunch at +Samovar Tea Lounge: Yerba Buena Gardens  on the deck overlooking it.

At a market just at the edge of Chinatown—organic dahlias. Would have loved a bouquet to take home.

The Dragon Gate at the entrance to Chinatown.

Just as evening was approaching, we met up with +Julie Adolf  and walked into Chinatown. What fun poking through the kitsch in all the shops!

Garden photos coming soon!
