In the Glen

Native wildflower, bloodroot (Sanguinaria canadensis)
Van Landingham Glen at UNC Charlotte

  1. Very pretty. I don't have any of these in my garden. Hoping to add more natives each year.

  2. Seems spring has arrived to your area. Thanks for visiting my blog. To answer your question, here's how I took the hummingbird picture... I stood on a step stool a few feet away and waited patiently for the mama to return. The technical details are f/10, 1/800 second at ISO-800, focal length of 400mm handheld. Took it at 18 megapixel and cropped it down for a better close up view.

  3. This has always seemed like one of the freshest of spring flowers.
