White Peony

I did not plant this peony. It is the first time I have seen a white one in my garden. I think it must have grown from seed! There were several light and dark pink varieties in the area years ago and I had noticed a plant growing in amongst the liriope for a few years. As far as I know this is its first time blooming and there is only the one bloom, but isn't it beautiful?

  4. That's pretty. I've had a number of things appear that way. It makes gardening kind of exciting.

  5. I have fantasies about the weeds I pull up, that if I just left them they'd turn into peonies or the like.

Thank you all for taking the time to read and comment! I am so behind on blogging and blog reading, but I really appreciate all of you...and your blogs, too.

  7. Daricia, Here's where I confess that I didn't know peonies reseeded! You asked if I saw the bog gardens at UNCC. I did. I saw the ones at the greenhouses. They were great! I don't know if there are bog gardens anywhere else there. By the time I got to the greenhouses, I was running out of time so I didn't get to explore there as much as I would have liked. Next time, I will go to the greenhouses FIRST! :) Thanks for adding me to the list of blogs you follow! :)
